As used in this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
Terms Used In Washington Code 43.131.030
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: includes every natural person, firm, partnership, corporation, association, or organization. See Washington Code 43.131.030
(1) “Entity” includes every state office, department, board, commission, unit or subunit, and agency of the state, and where provided by law, programs and activities involving less than the full responsibility of a state agency. “Entity” also includes any part of the Revised Code of Washington scheduled for repeal, expiration, or program termination.
(2) “Person” includes every natural person, firm, partnership, corporation, association, or organization.
