Every person, firm or corporation who violates or fails to obey, observe or comply with any statutory provision of *this act or rule of the department promulgated under authority of this title, shall be subject to a penalty of not to exceed one thousand dollars.

Terms Used In Washington Code 51.48.080

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
(1) Every person, firm, or corporation who violates or fails to obey, observe, or comply with any statutory provision of this title or rule of the department promulgated under authority of this title, shall be subject to a penalty of not to exceed $1,000.
(2) The department may, for a violation of RCW 51.14.180, assess a penalty not to exceed three times the penalties provided in subsection (1) of this section, including adjustments pursuant to RCW 51.48.095.
