- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Health care decision maker: means a person who is authorized to make health care treatment decisions for the patient, including a parent of a minor and a person who is authorized to make these decisions pursuant to Title 14, Chapter 5, Article 2 or 3 or Section 8-514. See Arizona Laws 12-2801
- Health care provider: means physicians licensed pursuant to Title 32, Chapter 13, 14 or 17, physician assistants licensed pursuant to Title 32, Chapter 25, registered nurse practitioners licensed pursuant to Title 32, Chapter 15, health care institutions as defined in section 36-401 and clinical laboratories licensed pursuant to title 36, chapter 4. - including: means not limited to and is not a term of exclusion. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- Minor: means a person under eighteen years of age. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- Writing: includes printing. See Arizona Laws 1-215
