Terms Used In Indiana Code 5-11-5.7-18
- state: means any board, commission, department, division, bureau, committee, agency, governmental subdivision, military body, authority, or other instrumentality of the state, but does not include a municipality. See Indiana Code 5-11-1-16
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
Sec. 18. Proceedings under this chapter are governed by the Indiana Rules of Trial Procedure if the proceedings are held in state court, and by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure if the proceedings are held in federal court.
