Oregon Statutes 341.933 – Distribution of state funds for capital construction; standards; limitations; rules
The Higher Education Coordinating Commission shall adopt by rule standards governing the distribution of state funds to community college districts for capital construction projects. The standards shall include, but need not be limited to, the following provisions:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 341.933
- community college: means a public institution operated by a community college district for the purposes of providing courses of study limited to not more than two years' full-time attendance and designed to meet the needs of a geographical area by providing educational services, including but not limited to career and technical education programs or lower division collegiate programs. (1) No state funds shall be used for the construction of student or faculty housing, facilities for spectators at athletic events, recreational facilities, student health facilities or noninstructional portions of student centers; and
(2) State funds shall be matched by substantial contributions from nonstate sources, which may include tuition, property taxes, bond issues, gifts and grants. [1987 c.474 § 11; 1999 c.21 § 68; 2013 c.747 § 74]
