- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. All lands embraced within the provisions of this act and not disposed of at the expiration of 7 months from the date this act shall take effect, shall be offered for sale at public auction by the commissioner of the state land office at the minimum price of 1 dollar and 25 cents per acre.
