(1) Each year, the commission shall prepare a record of assessment of the following companies:

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Person: means :(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Public utility: means :
(30)(a)(i) the operating property of a railroad, gas corporation, oil or gas transportation or pipeline company, coal slurry pipeline company, electrical corporation, sewerage corporation, or heat corporation where the company performs the service for, or delivers the commodity to, the public generally or companies serving the public generally, or in the case of a gas corporation or an electrical corporation, where the gas or electricity is sold or furnished to any member or consumers within the state for domestic, commercial, or industrial use; and(30)(a)(ii) the operating property of any entity or person defined under Section54-2-1 except water corporations. (1)(a) public utility companies;(1)(b) airlines;(1)(c) air charter services; and(1)(d) air contract services.(2) The record of assessment under Subsection (1) shall include:(2)(a) the name of each person engaged in business within the state in a company described in Subsection (1);(2)(b) for each company described in Subsection (1), the total value of all of the company’s tangible properties subject to assessment by the commission; and(2)(c) any other information as determined by the commission.(3) At the request of a county assessor, the commission shall provide to the county assessor:(3)(a) the record of assessment described in Subsection (1); and(3)(b) the information upon which the assessments and apportionments contained in the record of assessment are made. - Public utility: means :
