Kit vehicle means a motor vehicle or trailer which was assembled by a person other than a generally recognized manufacturer of motor vehicles or trailers by the use of a reproduction resembling a specific manufacturer’s make and model that is at least thirty years old purchased from an authorized manufacturer and accompanied by a manufacturer’s statement of origin. Kit vehicle does not include glider kits.

Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 60-335

  • Kit vehicle: means a motor vehicle or trailer which was assembled by a person other than a generally recognized manufacturer of motor vehicles or trailers by the use of a reproduction resembling a specific manufacturer's make and model that is at least thirty years old purchased from an authorized manufacturer and accompanied by a manufacturer's statement of origin.   • Manufacturer: means a person, partnership, limited liability company, or corporation engaged in the business of manufacturing snowmobiles. See Nebraska Statutes 60-3,207
  • Motor vehicle: means any vehicle propelled by any power other than muscular power. See Nebraska Statutes 60-339
  • Person: shall include bodies politic and corporate, societies, communities, the public generally, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and associations. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
  • Trailer: means any device without motive power designed for carrying persons or property and being towed by a motor vehicle and so constructed that no part of its weight rests upon the towing vehicle. See Nebraska Statutes 60-354
